Background:

Born in Umbrella's Medical Center on May 17, 1980 to Jonathan and Elizabeth DeWall. Her father John was working with the virus FE-13. A virus made derived from Feline DNA mixed with Progentior Virus. Elizabeth was his wife and partner. She made the mistake of infecting herslef with FE-13 while pregnant. Umbrella took swift action and orders were given to examine her. When effects showed that you could not control the will of the infected, studies and experiments were stopped. Orders were given to John to exterminate the unborn child. But he never did. Elizabeth died in childbirth. Higher ups decided to let the child live, keeping close tabs on her childhood, to see what the virus did to her.

Aurora Lin DeWall lived a normal childhood. The only physical effect of FE-13 was the yellow cat-like eyes. Thus giving her the nickname "Kat". She also devolped some Feline traits. Such as her extreme flexibility, perfect hearing, ability to see in the dark, fear of large bodies of water, fear of dogs, love of fish and milk, and the ability to always land on her feet.
Her father had her take lessons on how to handle guns when she was 12. When asked why he said "Just in case."
While attending Raccoon City High she was a Track and Field star. Her strongest point being running. Some Umbrella Scientists think it may be linked to the FE-13 infection.

In 1998 her father John started dating Ada Wong, months later the Raccoon City Outbreak happened. Aurora was 18 years old. She was home when it started. When she saw news reports on what was going on, and her father had not yet come home, she decided to go look for him. She soon was met with a T-virus carrier. After escaping from harm she doged and darted her way thourgh to a local gun store were she met Leon S. Kennedy. She followed those events, and later found her father dieing deep in the Underground research facilities. He was infected with the T-Virus. Her father confessed to his postion at Umbrella and before dieing her told her the whereabouts of files on FE-13. Leon exterminated John when he turned in to a carrier.
Later when Aurora was bitten by a carrier, she found out she was immune to the T-Virus. FE-13 terminated T-Virus. This is something Umbrella has taken a certain intrest in.
After making it out of Raccoon City with Leon, Claire Redfield [Umbrealla File 1374-ER] and Sherry Birkin [Umbrella File 8562-G] she joined them in their fight against Umbrella. The CIA requited Aurora and Leon.
In 2004, Aurora was sent with Leon to Spain to look for the President's missing daughter Ashley Graham. While there, Aurora and Leon were infected with the La Plaga Parasite. FE-13 could not kill La Plaga, but it did fight it. It caused Aurora great amounts of pain, where she went into an almost seizure-like episode. Later La Plaga was removed.
Aurora's current wherabouts are unknown. But we assume she is still working with Leon.

Aurora is most known for her flaring temper. She is often very stubborn and headstrong. She normally does not like to be helped, preferring to do things herself. She tries to prove herself to be just as good as her male co-workers. She hates to be sterotyped as "Just a girl". She is known for beating men for treating her as such.
In the workplace she is often the life of the party, though she can be shy around people she doesn't know well. When on a mission she is very calm and collected. Outside of work she can be slightly reclusive.

Aurora doesn't smoke, having allergies to tobacco. But she does enjoy having a beer or two and likes taking shots of Whisky at the local bar.

If you happen to become friends with her she will be very loyal. She often puts other before herself, which can be a good and bad thing.
